With reference to the letter from this Department of the 10th ultimo transmitting a copy of a despatch from His Majesty's Minister at Peking, regarding a deposit to be made by the China Fire and Insurance
Companies under the provisions of the China (Companies)
Amendment Order in Council, I am directed by Earl
Curzon of Kedleston to inquire whether the Secretary
of State for the Colonies concurs in the approval of
the Regulations issued by Sir B. Alston.
